About us

A chimney company that shows its work

We sweep, inspect and repair chimneys across Greater Pittsburgh. Every recommendation comes with photos and every price is in writing before work starts. You decide what happens next.

Why we exist

Chimney work you can check for yourself

Most homeowners never see the inside of their chimney. That makes it easy for a contractor to say "it's fine" when it isn't, or "it all has to come down" when it doesn't.

We built this company around closing that gap. You see what we see: the photos, the flue camera stills, the exact spot on the crown that's cracked. Then we explain it in plain English and put a price on paper. Some visits end with "you're good for another year." Others end with a repair plan. Either way, you get the evidence and the decision stays yours.

Our promise

Leave every home safer, cleaner and better informed than we found it.

  • Tell the truth about what we find, good news included.
  • Fix what's broken, not what's billable.
  • Treat your living room like it's our own.
  • Show up when we said we would, and text when we're on the way.
Our standards

How every job is done

The same standards apply on every visit, from a single sweep to a full rebuild.

On time, with notice

You get a 2-hour arrival window when you book and a text when your technician is on the way, so you are not waiting around all day.

Licensed & insured

We're a registered Pennsylvania home improvement contractor and fully insured for work on roofs, ladders and masonry. Property managers can ask us for proof of insurance.

Written, upfront pricing

You get the price in writing before any work begins. If we find something new partway through, we stop and talk to you before doing anything beyond what you approved.

Photo reports

Findings are photographed, labelled and ranked by urgency, then texted to you the same day. They're useful for your records, your insurer or the buyer of your home.

Your home, protected

Drop cloths from the door to the hearth, shoe covers, and a HEPA vacuum that keeps soot under negative pressure. Outside, we watch where ladders and debris land.

No pressure, no scare tactics

We won't tell you your house is about to burn down to close a sale. Real safety hazards get flagged clearly, with photos. Everything else gets an honest "this can wait" or "keep an eye on it."

Repair before replace

The smallest fix that actually solves it

A chimney with a few bad joints doesn't always need a rebuild. A leak doesn't always mean new flashing. We start with the least invasive repair that will hold, and we tell you when it won't.

  • Repoint the damaged section instead of rebuilding sound brick.
  • Repair or recoat a crown when the base is still solid, rebuild it when it isn't.
  • Find the actual leak source before replacing anything. Often it's a cap, crown or seal, not the whole flashing.
  • Explain the trade-off when a bigger job really is the better value over time.

Told your chimney needs a rebuild?

Have us take a look before you commit. We'll photograph what we find, explain which repair will actually hold, and give you a free written estimate you can compare side by side.

  • Photos of every problem, not just a verdict
  • Itemized written estimate, free of charge
  • No pressure to decide on the spot
Why only Pittsburgh

We stay close to home on purpose

We work Greater Pittsburgh and nowhere else. That focus makes us better at the job and easier to rely on.

  • We know these chimneys. Older brick, clay-tile flues, steep roofs and hillside lots are what we see week in, week out.
  • We know this weather. Repeated freeze-thaw cycles are hard on mortar and crowns, so we look for that damage on every visit.
  • Tighter arrival windows. Shorter drives between jobs mean we can hold a 2-hour window and text you when we're on the way.
  • Easy to come back. If a repair needs a second visit or a follow-up look after a storm, we're not driving in from another region.

What a visit looks like

From the first text to the photo report

Here's what happens on a typical sweep and inspection, so nothing about the day is a surprise.

  1. Before we arrive

You get a text confirming your 2-hour arrival window, then an on-the-way text with your technician's name and photo.

  2. At your door

Shoe covers on. Drop cloths down from the entry to the hearth. The HEPA vacuum is set up before any brush goes into the flue.

  3. The work

We clean the flue, smoke chamber and firebox, then inspect the system top to bottom, using the camera where it's needed.

  4. Before we leave

We walk you through what we found. The photo report follows the same day, with a free written estimate if anything needs repair.

The difference

Not your average chimney guy

Most sweeps clean the flue and leave. Here's what you get with us.
